Drumcondra

The friendly town of Drumcondra is one of the older inner residential suburbs of north Dublin offering a leafy neighbourhood that’s still close to the city centre. Because of the town’s age, you will find old-world charm around almost every corner as about 46% of the Victorian terraced villas were built between 1919 and 1960. That being said, there is a good balance of old and new where you can enjoying the young cafes and up-and-coming businesses on the main stretch.

Although the town has a large old-school population, you will be living among a host of well-heeled professionals that work in the city centre. Students are often drawn to the town because of the DCU and St Patrick’s campuses, adding to the mixture of generations.

If you take a walk down Drumcondra, you will see that it is made up of quiet streets and cul de sacs and you will certainly stumble upon the beautiful Griffith Park which is nearby the Botanic Gardens.
