Glasnevin

The quiet town of Glasnevin is one of the most popular areas on the northside of Dublin. It’s close to the city centre with plenty of transport routes, offering 3 pre-schools, 7 different primary schools and 2 secondary schools, making it a perfect choice for families.

Located in the Dublin 9 area, Glasnevin has an easy atmosphere and is not nearly as busy as some of its nearby suburbs. The town also offers great tourist attractions such as the Glasnevin Cemetery and the Botanic Gardens located on the southern end. Ariana Grande has even paid a visit to this famous Glasnevin Cemetery. On the north side, you will find Johnstown Park, offering a number of sports pitches, tennis courts, walkways and a kids’ playground. If that wasn’t enough, there are also 3 gyms located in the area.

To get a feel for the area, drive down Griffith Avenue which is known to be the longest tree-lined avenue in the Northern Hemisphere. At the end of the day, this town is well-suited to active families of all ages and has everything you need just a stone’s throw away.
